Introduction: Chinese Fried Rice (Pork Sausage)

Everybody loves a steaming bowl of delicious fried rice. It makes a great comforting meal & takes no time to prepare.

This recipe calls for Chinese pork sausages (Lap Cheong), which is slightly sweet, smoky, & rich in flavour. I used Taiwanese sausages which is pretty similar to the Lap Cheong, and you can use any kind of meat/sausage that you prefer, be it chicken or pork (leftovers work great, too).

Feel free to mix & match according to your preference.

Step 1: Ingredients

To make the fried rice, you will need :

- Rice (I used 1/2 a cup of rice)

- Cooking oil

- Pork sausage

- Spring onion

- Mixed vegetables

- Egg

- Soy sauce & Oyster sauce (Adjust according to the amount of rice used)

- Sesame oil

- Salt

Step 2: Lets Begin!

First, heat a wok over medium heat. Pour in some cooking oil & cook the sausage/meat.

When slightly browned, add some of the chopped spring onions to the wok.

Step 3: Keep Cooking

Throw in the mixed vegetables & let that cook for a while.

Once they are done, move the meat & vegetables to the side of the wok to create a little space for the egg.

Next, scramble the egg & combine it together with the meat & vegetables.

Step 4: Almost Done!

Stir in the rice and be sure to mix it well to avoid any clumps. Stir fry for a few minutes.

Add in the sauces, a tiny bit of sesame oil, remaining spring onion & if necessary, salt to taste. Be sure to taste as you go.

Step 5: Yum Yum.

Bowl it up & garnish with some chopped spring onions.

This super simple & delicious fried rice is ready to be served. Bon appetit!
