Step 1: Grab Your Materials
Here's what you're going to need to make this special frame:
- a small picture frame
- a copy of your favorite Chinese symbol (I'm using the Chinese symbol for "Friendship")
- glue gun
- small embellishments (like flowers and butterflies)
- scissors (not shown)
Step 2: Prep Frame and Add Image
Take the glass out carefully and add your copy of the Chinese symbol of your choosing. You might want to trim the sides of your copy to fit inside the frame. My frame is 4 x 6 and the copy of my Chinese symbol is 5 x 7, so I had to trim off an inch on both sides. My suggestion: take the backing and use it as a guide to trace on both sides, then trim to the same size as your frame.
Step 3: Add Embellishments
Finally, just finish off with a few small embellishments, such as butterflies and flowers. Then, if you still have the glass, put it back in the frame, and it's done!
Step 4: Display
Now, display it on your wall, table or shelf, where you want to add some Chinese styled flair to your home!
