Step 1: Step 1: Preheat Oven
The first thing you need to do is preheat the oven to 350° F (180° C)
Step 2: Step 2: Gather Ingredients
• 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
• 1 c. flour
• 1 c. rolled oats
• 1/2 c. butter or margarine (softened)
• 1/3 c. light brown sugar
• 1/4 tsp. baking powder
• 1/8 tsp. salt
• 3/4 c. strawberry jam
• 1/4 c. chopped, fresh strawberries (washed)
• 2 tbsp. honey
Step 3: Step 3: Gather Utensils
• Large bowl
• Square pan (8"x8") coated with nonstick spray
• Large spoon
• Measuring cups and spoons
Step 4: Step 4: Mix
Place all of the ingredients in the large bowl, except for the jam, strawberries, and honey.
Use the spoon and mix everything together.
Once mixed, measure out 2 cups of this mixture and set the rest aside.
Step 5: Step 5: Press
Take the two cups that you measured out and press it into the bottom of the pan. You can use your hands or a spoon. make sure to evenly cover the entire bottom of the pan!
Step 6: Step 6: Finishing the Product Before You Bake
Using a large spoon, spread the strawberry jam on top of the mixture in the pan. Make sure it is spread evenly all over the mixture. After you do that, spread the remaining mixture that was put aside over the jam. Make sure it is spread evenly covering all of the jam. Press it down lightly.
Step 7: Step 7: Bake
Place the pan in the oven and bake on 350° F for 25 minutes. Then, remove the pan from the oven and let cool for at least 15 minutes.
Step 8: Step 8: Add the Rest of the Ingredients
Once the bars have cooled down, drizzle the honey evenly over them. After that, scatter the strawberries evenly over top op the honey. Cut into 12 squares and enjoy!
