Introduction: Chocolate and Peanut Drop Cookie
For chocolate and peanut butter lovers out there, this cookie combines the two awesome flavors.
Step 1: Ingredients
3 c quick cooking oats
1 c creamy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
4 tsp vegetable shortening
1/3 c peanuts
1/3 c water
3/4 c softened butter
1 1/2 c semi sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 egg
Step 2: In the Mixer
Beat the brown sugar, peanut butter and butter until combined.
Step 3: Keeping It in the Mixer
Mix in the vanilla, egg and water.

Step 4: In Another Bowl
Combine the oats, flour and baking soda together in a separate bowl.
Step 5: Now Everything in the Mixer
Now combine both mixtures together using the mixer.
Step 6: Dropping Them by the Tbspful
Drop the dough by a heaping tablespoon size on an ungreased baking sheet.
Step 7: Bake!
Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 8: Cool It!
Remove the cookies from the oven and place the baking sheet on a wire rack to cool for a couple of minutes and after that, place the cookies directly on the wire rack to cool completely.
Step 9: Chopping Time
Chop the peanuts to small pieces.
Step 10: Small Saucepan
Using a small saucepan set to medium heat, melt the vegetable shortening and chocolate together, stirring constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
Step 11: Topping It Off
Top each cookie with the chocolate and crushed peanuts.
