Step 1: Melt the Chocolate.
How to melt the chocolate you need to boil a small pot of water, then place a metal bowl on top of the pot, you then dump the chocolate into the bowl and stir until melted.
Step 2: Make the Chocolate Bowl.
To make the chocolate bowl you need a party balloon. (Do not use water balloons, they are thinner and will pop when you put them in the melted chocolate.) Blow the balloon to the size you want it. (I did about the size of my hand) Wash the balloon, dry it, then grease it well; this makes the balloon easier to remove from the chocolate when you are finished. Dip the balloon in the chocolate until the desired amount is covered. Then put it on wax paper. Place the chocolate balloon in the freezer until chocolate is hardened. Repeat this step 2-3 times.
Step 3: Make the Leaf.
To make the leaf your going to need green died white chocolate. You can buy this at a grocery store or a chocolate store. You need to melt this chocolate the same way you melt the regular chocolate. Put the green chocolate in a piping bag, then on aluminum foil, pipe out the shape of a leaf. Bend the foil slightly inward and place in the freezer.
Step 4: Making the Chocolate Strawberry Rose.
To make the chocolate strawberry rose pick out a small strawberry and begin to cut out the petals starting at the top and work your way down gradually making the petals larger. This will take some practice, I had to do 3-4 strawberries before I could make it look just right. Lightly dip the strawberry in the chocolate and allow some of the chocolate to drip off the strawberry so you can see the shape of the rose. Place the strawberry in a cool area until the chocolate hardens.
Step 5: Finish the Chocolate Bowl.
To finish the chocolate bowl cut the top of the balloon with scissors and remove the balloon carefully so you don't damage the chocolate bowl.
Step 6: Put It All Together!
Carefully fill the chocolate bowl with vanilla ice cream. Then put the chocolate strawberry rose on top, add the leaf and enjoy!
