Introduction: Cinnamon Rolls

How to make home made cinnamon rolls

Step 1: Dough

In a large bowl combine: 2 1/2 flour ans 1 pkg. active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp.)

Step 2:

In a sauce pan (small pot) heat and stir 1 cup. milk, 1/3 cup. butter (or margarine), 1/3 cup. granulated sugar, and 1/2 tsp. salt just until warm (120-130 degrees F.)

Step 3:

Add liquid mixture to flour mixture along with 3 eggs. Beat with electric mixer on low speed for 30 sec.

Step 4:

Beat on high speed for 3 more minutes (stopping mixer to slowly ass 2-3 more cups of flour 1/2 cup at a time, a time and to scrape sides of bowl)

Step 5:

Turn dough out onto clean, lightly floured counter. Knead in enough of the remaining flour to make a moderately soft dough that is smooth and elastic (3-5 min. more)

Step 6: Filling

Stir together 3/4 cup. packed brown sugar, 1/4 cup. flour, 1 TBS. cinnamon.

Step 7:

Cut-in 1/3 cup. butter ( or margarine), until resembles course crumbs

Step 8:

Rolls dough out flat and sprinkle filling over the dough

Step 9:

Roll up dough starting from the long side. seal seams by pinching

Step 10:

Slice roll into equal pieces using "thread method"

Step 11:

Place cut sides down into pans. sides can be touching, but leave room to rise

Step 12:

Let rise in refrigerator over night, or one hour (covered) in warm place

Step 13:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 14:

Bake 20-25 min. or until lightly brown. (If necessary, cover rolls the last 5-10 min. to prevent burning

Step 15:

Let cool slightly

Step 16: Glaze

Drizzle with glaze: 1 cup. powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1-2 TBS. milk
