There's almost always some secrets to certain recipes which make them outstanding. I thought I'd share a method of making butter milk biscuits to get that light, fluffy, flaky, texture while still maintaining the good ol fat content.
I entered this recipe and biscuits into the Arkansas State fair and won a Best in Show over the baked goods category for them. To give you an idea of how good they are, the baked goods category included cookies and bread sweets as well.
