Introduction: Compact UK Plug (for Chargers)

This instructable shows you how to create this mini UK wall plug for chargers and transformers.

Perfect for the home, office or on holiday!

External harddrives, laptops, camera battery charger, power supplies and lots of other things use a "C7" or "infinity" plug to connect the external transformer / charger to the wall.

The C7 plug doesn't have an earth and comes either polarised or unpolarised. Laptops, metal things and other electronics with large current draws have a C5 connector which has an earth. This instructable is for the C7 unpolarised plug, but would work with a C5 or polarised C7.

This instructable is also written for the UK plug as I'm in the UK. You could adapt it for other plugs though.

This is a very quick and easy to do instructable and I think it will come in very handy.

Step 1: Disassemble Plug & Prepare Wire

Have a look at the pics below in order to see what you need to do for the first step

Step 2: Final Step

Put the plug in the plug!
Wire up the wires in this formation, if there is a collar on the wall plug, remove it.

You will need to secure part of the C7 plug under the white plastic fastener for a secure fit.

Tighten all the screws and you're done!
