Introduction: Compound K'nex Bow

About: I give easy tips to kill boredom and inventive ways to pass time.

Hi, this is a project I created the other day and it took me about 40 minutes to perfect.

So I recently became addicted to the show Arrow, which is about a billionaire who was stranded on an island for 5 years and had to survive alone. He returns back to his home of Starling City using the alter-ego The Hood to fight crime and restore justice. It has a lot of aspects of Batman and I really enjoy watching

Having already owned several bows in the past, I decided to create a bow this time. I looked up many ideas for K'nex compound bows and nothing really stood out, so I tinkered around a bit and came up with this.

I purchased 4 wooden sticks measure about 1 1/2 feet long and took the blue K'nex piece and a green K'nex piece and created the arrow

Your bow does not have to look exactly like mine, but if you want it to, I will take several pictures for examining the designs and post them on this page.

A little advice, some of the pieces won't fit together perfectly but I found if you keep adding more, they will work.

It's not the sturdiest bow in the world but it fires very accurately and travels far (highest I've recorded is 80ft.

The materials you will need are 1 K'nex Silver Edition Value Tub with 325 pieces, I large rubber band (not standard size), Four 1 1/2 feet wooden sticks and something to shoot at

I really hope you enjoyed the design and if you have any questions please comment, I will be glad to help!

P.S. You will also need a regular knife or x-acto to cut the ends of the arrow to make wedges so they fit into the string
