Step 1: Get Your Kale and Collards
In this recipe, I am using Kale and Collards fresh from my garden, but this salad is delicious with any of the cruciferous vegetables: broccoli, cabbage, even Brussel sprouts can be substituted in.
Step 2: Make the Dressing
Combine 1/2 cup of Mayonnaise, 1/2 cup of Sugar and 1/4 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar (keep the ratios the same, but adjust quantity depending on how much salad you are making).
Step 3: Roughly Chop Your Greens and Add Them to the Dressing
Step 4: Chill for at Least 2 Hours
This helps the ingredients to combine and makes sure the salad is served nice and cold.
Step 5: Add Sunflower Seeds and Dried Cranberries and Mix Together
Step 6: Enjoy!
Have this as a cool treat on a hot summer day, or impress your friends when you bring it as a delicious side for your next summer cookout! This dish is best served cool.
