Introduction: Copycat Olive Garden Fettuccine Alfredo

About: Hey, have you ever heard of a giraffe who loves to build!?!?!

The simplest and quickest recipe you'll ever see! This Fettuccine Alfredo is awesome and is as close to the famous Olive Garden pasta as you're gonna get. It is super easy and is definitely worth the 30 minutes it takes to make. Seriously, that's it...

Supplies

  • 1 package of fettuccine pasta
  • 4 tbs butter
  • 1 tbs flour
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup Asiago cheese

Step 1: Boil Pasta

Boil your fettuccine pasta! Make sure to drain and and run under water to cool the pasta so it stops cooking. You want your pasta to be a little short of how you want it so when you mix it with the sauce, it cooks the rest of the way.

Step 2: Alfredo Sauce

Melt the butter in the pot you used to boil the pasta over low heat. Save yourself some work by using less dishes ;). Add the flour and stir until it is completely incorporated. All lumps should be gone and the butter should start to bubble slightly. SLOWLY add the milk into the mixture, stirring frequently. When the milk is completely incorporated into the mixture, add the heavy cream, asiago cheese, pepper, salt, and garlic powder. If you don't have this cheese on hand, feel free to use any cheese you have around the house. Bring the sauce to medium heat for 1-2 minutes and stir frequently.

Step 3: Mix Together

Add the pasta and using tongs, fold the pasta into the sauce until it is even combined. Now wasn't that EASY? Plate and serve right away.
