Ever had to deal with the hassle of an open ended bike handle? Well no more! With this quick trick, you can finally plug those handles before dirt plugs them for you! In this quick guide, we will be making stylish cork plugs that should fit most bikes.

Step 1: Clean the Inside of the Handles

Before you start, make sure that the inside of your handlebars are clean to avoid trapping stuff in them! You can use a hose to get most of the current grunge out.

Step 2: Cut the Cork

Next, cut off the end of the cork to get a flat end (Keep the end, you'll need it later). Then, cut around it to make a rough point. This will allow you to easily fit the cork into your handlebars. Don't cut too much off or your cork might become too small!

Step 3: Fill the Handlebars

Try to get a snug fit for your cork in your handlebars. You might need to shave more off your cork in order to make it fit, but be careful to too shave off too much! As seen in the second picture, you can get a pretty snug fit.

Step 4: Glue the End Back

Here you can take the end you originally cut off and glue it onto the end of the handle. The glue is going to hold the end on in order to get the best results for the next step.

Step 5: Finish It Up

Using any screw shorter than the cork, screw the end into the secured cork. This will keep the cork from falling off. That's all there is to it! An easy fix that doesn't look half bad!
