Crayon Playdough recipe is very simple to make. You can make different colors of playdough using different shades of crayons. It gives bold color to dough. Try it out for your preschooler, they will love it for sure.

Step 1: Supplies

Some different colors of crayons
2 cups of All purpose flour
1 1/4 cups of Water
2 tbsp of Vegetable oil
1 tbsp of Salt
2 tbsp of Cream of Tartar

Step 2: Preparation

1. Take all dry ingredients in mixing bowl and mix all together until well combined.

2. Roughly chop all crayons into bit size pieces

Step 3: Melt Crayons

Since we are using crayons, I would sugguest to use old vessel to make this playdoh.

1. Heat pan over medium flame, add oil and crayons into it.

2. Once the crayons completely melted, add in water and bring it to boil.

Step 4: Add APF and Mix

Once water started boiling, add dry ingredients and mix well with spatula immediately to avoid lump formation.

once the flour absorbed all water, transfer the dough into flat surface area. ( i used my cutting board)

Allow it to cool, until you can tolerate kneading.

Knead the dough for few minutes and let it completely cooled down.
