hi this is my first instructable so i thought why not try to win something for once. this is a very delicious cake if you eat it right. ^^

Step 1: Ingredients

ok so for ingredients you'll need:

butter 150g

sugar 200g

salt 1tsp

baking powder/soda 1tsp (each)

eggs 4

flour 250g

cocoa powder 100g

vanilla essence 1tsp

for cream:

1 tub of mascarpone cheese

100g sugar

1 bottle of double cream

Step 2: Mix Wet Ingredients

ok so i should of mentioned but i forgot to take pictures at point

anyway in a bowl add your butter, eggs, vanilla essence and oil

mix with a whisk or electric beater

set aside

Step 3: Combine Dry Ingredients

next add your flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and soda and sugar.

make sure its all sifted

mix with whisk or spoon and until it has combined.

Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Mix

first use your spoon to make a well or hole in your dry mixture.

then slowly add your wet mix inside

finally beat with electric beater until fully combined and smells/looks chocolatly

pour into a greased tin with parchment paper

Step 5: Cooked

cook to 350 farenheit/ celcius until cooked

tip

poke with a toothpick if it comes out clean its cooked

science

the amount of baking powder and soda might be small but they help raise the cake as they are both chemical leavening agents that cause batters to rise when baked. The leavener enlarges the bubbles which are already present in the which forces the cake to rise. But baking powder does most of the leavening. Baking soda does some of the leavening but it also adds tenderness to the cake.

warning/tip

Too much baking powder can cause the batter to be bitter tasting. It can also cause the batter to riserapidly and then collapse. (i.e. The air bubbles in the batter grow too large and break causing the batter to fall.)

Step 6: Cream

add in a bowl mascarpone sugar and double cream

mix for about 3 minutes or until it turns to cream and becomes stiff peaks

Step 7: Finish

add cream and pipe in any way you want

you are finished its better to put in fridge for about an hour as it taste better

science:

put in fridge for a better taste science approves

please vote for me as i will be so greatful if i win at all

thank you for reading!!!

and enjoy ^^
