Create Your Own Animal Game

What you'll need:
• Paper
• Drawing Utensil
• Something to color with (optional)
Note: You could probably do this on an ipad as well. I don't have one, though, so I don't know what app you'd need.

Here's a fun travel game that used to entertain my sisters and I for hours during family vacations.

1. Whoever you're traveling with picks two (or more) animals.

2. The person who's turn it is to draw mixes those animals together and names the new animal. Once people get the hang of it, there's no limit to the number of animals that you can mix together. Take turns drawing and picking animals.

3. Once the drawings are done, everything can be colored! All you need are some crayons, or a basic pack of colored pencils. I happen to have neither in my house anymore, so I had to color this one digitally. :)

Depending on your family's needs, you can turn this game into all sorts of things. For instance, it's a great way to teach kids to spell, and they'll love the creativity involved. The best part of this is, I think, seeing what your companions can come up with. Some people will really surprise you with their creativity!
