Create a Vintage Cake Stand

Introduction: Create a Vintage Cake Stand

have you ever wanted to have a vintage tea party with your friends, but don't have the equipment? We'll in this instructable I will show you hap ow to make a vintage cake stand for less than £5/$5.

Step 1: Selecting the Plates

Select the plate that you would like to use. Use one small plate, one medium and one larger plate. Make sure they match in colour and shape.

Step 2: Drilling the Holes

Find the centre of the plate by drawing two lines from side to side with a whiteboard pen and where they meet is the centre. Drill the hole as accurate and as straight as possible using a ceramic drill bit and finally rub off the whiteboard pen, use water if it stays there.

Step 3: Putting Together

Using cake stand rods and bolts, screw the plates together to form a cake stand.

Step 4: Finished

Now that you're done it is time to have a tea party and eat some cakes with your friends and family.

Have fun.

This is so simple, yet totally fantastic!

I always wanted to make my own, but forever thought I'd break everything.

    This, I have to try!

I made something similar a while back for jewlery. https://www.instructables.com/id/Teacup-Jewelry-Stand/. I used hardware store lamp hardware for those people that are having a hard time finding the cake stand rods and bolts. Looks great though! And is that a Hammer drill lol.

The instructable has to be created AFTER the contest launches, or it doesn't qualify. Shucks! Great tutorial though! :)
