Introduction: Crochet Eevee Pokemon
Gotta catch em' all? Well I can help you with at least one of the many Pokemon you will need to catch while your training!
Here I have my first Pokemon crochet that I have ever done! This little fella is 6" tall and she comes with her very own mini pokeball! This is a great newcomers first crochet project and its also great for gifts!( especially last minute) This is actually the pattern by 53 stitches and its beautiful isn't it? The only difference between mine and theirs is I had a problem making the "fluff" around the neck look good so I decided to do without. another change is I created this little Pokemon ball pattern to go along with her. Abbreviations:
Dec = Decrease
Sc = Single crochet
Inc = Increase
Yo = Yarn Over
St = Stitch
Ch = Chain
Supplies
Step 1: The Head and Body
Head:
in brown
1. chain 2 and make 6 single crochet in the 1st chain
2. single crochet 2 stitches in each of the stitches around the row (inc)
3. single crochet 1 then single crochet 2 in the next stitch repeat (sc1,inc)
4. single crochet 2 stitches then single crochet 2 in the next stitch repeat (sc2,inc)
5. single crochet 3 stitches then single crochet 2 in the next stitch repeat (sc3,inc)
6. single crochet 4 stitches then single crochet 2 in the next stitch repeat (sc4,inc)
7-10. single crochet 4 rows
11. single crochet 5 stitches then single crochet 2 in the next stitch repeat (sc5,inc)
12-13. single crochet 2 rows
Place the eyes 10 stitches apart and 10 stitches down.
14. decrease 1 stitch then single crochet 3 stitches repeat (dec,sc3)
15. single crochet 2 stitches then decrease 1 repeat (sc2,dec)
16. decrease 1 stitch then single crochet 3 stitches repeat (dec,sc3)
Fasten off and cut your tail about 5" long then fill the head with stuffing and put it to the side for later.
Body:
also in brown
1. chain 2 and make 6 single crochet in the 1st chain
2. single crochet 2 stitches in each of the stitches around the row (inc)
3. single crochet 1 then single crochet 2 in the next stitch repeat (sc1,inc)
4. single crochet 2 stitches then single crochet 2 in the next stitch repeat (sc2,inc)
5. single crochet 3 stitches then single crochet 2 in the next stitch repeat (sc3,inc)
6-8. single crochet 3 rows
9. decrease 1 stitch and then single crochet 3 stitches repeat (dec,sc3)
10. single crochet 1 row
change the color of your yarn to cream.
11-12. single crochet 2 rows
fasten off and cut a long tail, then attach to head pulling only one loop from each piece.
Step 2: Ears,Legs,Tail and Arms
Legs and arms:
in brown
1. chain 2 and make 6 single crochet in the 1st chain
2.single crochet 1 and then increase 1 in the next (sc2 in the same stitch)
3-6. single crochet 4 rows
Tail:
in cream
1. chain 2 and make 6 single crochet in the 1st chain
2. single crochet 1 row
3.single crochet 1 and then increase 1 in the next (sc2 in the same stitch)
4. single crochet 2 and then increase 1 in the next repeat (sc2,inc)
5. single crochet 1 row
change color to brown
6. increase 1, then single crochet 3 stitches repeat (inc,sc3)
7. single crochet 1 row
8. increase 1 then single crochet 4 stitches repeat (inc,sc4)
9-10. single crochet 2 rows
11. decrease 1 then single crochet 1 stitch repeat (dec,sc)
stuff the tail
12. decrease in every stitch across the row.
fasten off and cut the tail yarn.
Ears:
in brown
1. chain 2 and make 4 single crochet it the 1st stitch
2. single crochet 1 row
3. increase 1 then single crochet 1 (inc,sc1)
4. single crochet 1 row
5.increase 1 then single crochet 2 stitches (inc,sc2)
6-8. single crochet 3 rows
9. increase 1 then single crochet 3 stitches (inc,sc3)
10. decrease 1 then single crochet 3 stitches (dec1,sc3)
11. single crochet 1 row
12. decrease 1 then single crochet 2 stitches (dec1,sc2)
fasten off and cut your tail, then attach all the finished pieces in whatever way they look good to you.
Step 3: Pokemon Ball
Well you need something to catch them with right?
Pokemon Ball:
in red
1. chain 2 and make 6 single crochet in the 1st chain
2. increase in every stitch around
3. single crochet 1 row
change color to black
4. single crochet 1 row
change color to white
5. single crochet 1 row
6. single crochet 1 then decrease 1 repeat
stuff with leftover yarn.
7. decrease around
fasten off and tie 3 knots in the same place on a white strand of yarn, then put this on the front so as to look like the button.
