In this article we will see how to make custom 7 segment display using smd LED's. and We will be interfacing with Arduino.
This design can be use in the replacement of seven segement display and this is design is very cost efficient too.

In this project i have used 2 led's for one segment of the seven segment but this can done with single led and for smaller display.

Step 1: Required Components

Current Limiting resistor (220R) x 7

Arduino Nano board

Few Wires

As i said earlier i am using 2 led's per segment and there are 7 segments in one 7 segment. So total number of LED's will be (2x7) for single seven segment and +1 for dp (Decimal point).
And again this count will be multiply by required number of seven segment display.

Step 2: Schematic

Step 3: PCB Pics

Step 4: Code

Step 5: Tutorial and Demo
