BTW-- Before I get any more comments, a disclaimer:

It is 2015-- there isn't a smoker in America who hasn't been exposed to the anti-smoking campaign, so no one needs your unsolicited advice (besides, you love all the tax money we pay into children's healthcare and social programs)

Cut corner cigarette papers were originally introduced in the 1800s so that blind people could tell which end of the paper was unglued when making their smokes. They are also used by new rollers because the cut corners make "tucking" the paper easier. I like cut corners because I can roll a cigarette in low light conditions, like at night on a campout without wasting paper or fixins.

Like most smokers, I use cigarette papers discriminately and only like certain brands or types of paper. Rice paper burns best for me, but finding cut corner papers is limited to Zig Zag brand in my small town. Zig is unacceptable to me because it doesn't burn properly for a cigarette (hence its apparent popularity in drug culture).

My favorite brand is Rizla (or Riz LaCroix), but other makes are Gizah and Smoking-- these are all mail order alternatives and work great. However, I wanted to make use of what is available in town.

Here is what I came up with and present for your consideration.

Step 1: Select Papers

Choices being limited, I have always used Top 70mm papers in a pinch. The paper is good, made in France, and rolls fine. For this 'able to work as described, your choice needs to be in a booklet instead interleaved.

Your mileage may vary, and experiment with what you have.

Step 2: Cut Corners!

The only time I will ever say to cut corners on a project.

Take your booklet and cut the corners on the non-glued side. I used an old paper cutter used for finishing cards and laminated paper, but you could try to cut a corner with a strong hole punch or crudely with an exacto knife or scissors.

Step 3: Finishing Touches

As you can see, I now have a paper with cut corners for easy rolling. One downside of the Top papers in the booklet is the papers are not prefolded, which helps the blind know on which side the glue is.

For my finishing touch, I will pre-fold 10 or so papers at the end of the pack for rolling at night and leave the rest plain.
