Step 1:

First you will need to find a container or bowl you do not need to use in the future. You will use this to mix all the ingredients in it. You then pour as much henna powder as you want into the container. This will depend on how much henna you need and want.

Step 2:

Add about half a lemon into container with the henna powder, this depends on how much henna you are making. Mix everything together. When done with this add some water if needed. The henna should not be like a fluid but semi fluid. if it is too fluid then it might not dry and will be harder to apply.

Step 3:

You will now need to let the henna in the container for about 24 hours. This will make it develop the dye and help it stay longer on your skin and in a darker color.

Step 4:

After leaving it in the container for around a day, it has developed its dye. Mix it one more time before you can use it. Before using the henna make sure you are not allergic to it. This is very important. Take a small amount of henna and put it on your skin. leave it until it dries. Then wash it off. Wait at least 24 hours before using the henna to make sure you are really not allergic to it.

Step 5:

You can now draw on any design that you like. Make sure you have enough time because the henna might take a lot of time to dry. Wait until it is completely dry before washing it off. When it is completely dry you can wash it off with water and soap. To make your henna last longer you could rub oil on it. The henna will fade away after some days or weeks.
