Introduction: DIY CNC Machine in Action!

A DIY CNC machine built with drawer slides, old computer parts, scraps of lumber, and steppers purchased on eBay.  This project was a lot of fun and was built on the cheap.  I have a bunch of videos of the process.  This little Instructable just shows the machine actually cutting something.

Thanks for watching.

I think you did a great job for the rough and tumble CNC. All of us makers realize the first CNC is just the prototype to build the next. I can't wait to see what you improve on this one to get it popping out some sweet designs.

Calling it a prototype is how I'm thinking about it my first CNC machine. I'm hoping when I'm finished it all works. The design I've chosen is risky because it has never been done before.

Thanks Adam. So true - I'll keep tinkering around with this one and learn as much from it as I can. But, yes, I've been thinking about the next machine already. I feel I've joined the club though. Fun stuff. Thanks again.
