DIY Door Alarm

Step 1: Gather Parts

The parts you will need are listed below:

1) Arduino
2) LED or Buzzer (optional)
3) Resistor
4) aluminum foil, wire's
5) power supply

Step 2: Build Part 1

The build is very simple you don't need much explanation except for the photos here.

Step 3: Build Part 2

to build to connectors tape 2 aluminum foil strips to 2 wire's. then tape each close together as shown in picture 5. Also tape a aluminum foil strand to the door as shown in figure 4. finally tape the 2 aluminum strips to the door frame.

Step 4: Setup

The setup is easy just tape everything as shown and make sure BOTH the aluminum strips touch the doors aluminum strip. This will short the circuit when the door is shut

Step 5: Upload Code and Run

connect all the wires and upload the code from my site http://www.Funguypro.tk

you can setup the code so it will trigger the alarm or run the lights. you can connect to a Bluetooth device or have it send a text to you. The possibilities are endless.
