Hello. Today I am going to show you how to make a DIY Mason Jar Cup. This is a really simple project that anyone can make. So let's get started.

Step 1: Gather Supplies
What you will need for this instructable:
Mason Jar Lid
Hard Plastic Straw
Clear Spray Enamel
Step 2: Create the Lid
First, find a drill bit that is a little larger than the straw you have chosen.
Second, take a sharpie and mark on your Mason Jar Lid where you want the straw to go. I prefer the middle but you can offset the straw hole for a unique look.
Third, drill a hole where you have marked with the sharpie.
Now you have the lid for your cup.
If you want to, take a grinding stone tool (I used my dremel tool with the grinding stone attachment) and smooth the inside of your hole. This makes it easier for the straw to move up and down, and the loose metal on the hole won't scratch your straw.
Step 3: Decorating
This step is optional but I like to add my own personality to the cup.
To start off I'm going to spray paint my whole lid gold.
Then for the decoration on the cup I'm going to put pieces of tape around the jar and spaced evenly to make horizontal lines.
Then spray paint the jar. The tape will keep the paint from getting to those spots leaving gold horizontal lines.
Let the lid and jar dry.
Step 4: Finishings Touches
After the spray paint has dryed spray the enamel on anything that has paint.
If you want the clear glass part to be a little foggy take the tape off then use the enamel. If not keep the tape on.
The enamel will help keep the paint from chipping. This will also help you to keep from washing the paint off when you wash the cup, or put it in the dishwasher.
Step 5: Final Result
Once the clear spray enamel has dried take the tape off (if it's still on).
Fill the cup with your favorite drink. Put the lid on and enjoy your DIY Mason Jar Cup.
