Intro: DIY Natural Body Scrub

Hi everyone! I have been wanting to share my body scrub DIY since February! I never got around to it and finally since I ran out of my last batch, I decided to film a quick video to show you how I make my own body scrub.

Step 1: Ingredients

  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened coconut oil
  • 1/4-1/8 cup olive oil depending how oily you want it
  • a couple drops of oil scent. (I prefer it with it's natural scent)

Step 2: How to Make It

Mix all together in a big mixing bowl and store in a sealed container.

The mixture should be oily with chunks of sugar.

Step 3: Enjoy!

Enjoy this in the shower!

Hi, I used a mason jar with the lids that seal air tight so the mixture would stay fresh! I also used the mixture in the same jar in the shower. Hope that helps!

Could you use sea salt instead of sugar?

Hi, yes you can but it would be more exfoliating I think so just be careful!!! Maybe grind it first so it's not so coarse.

Yes! I used to just use 1 part olive oil to 2 parts sugar and I loved it! But I was using a lot of the olive oil so I switched to coconut oil! You can mess with the measurements to your liking for the scrub :-)

Ok thanks! I tried it with a little bit of olive oil, lemon and orange rind and juice from lemon and orange with the sugar and it works great! Thanks :)

Si am using mine in the bath. The oils are released in bath and it's great! Next batch I will substitute almond oil for olive oil.

Oh i have never tried almond oil! Sounds like it would smell good!

my friend can't use coconut oil (makes them sneeze) so almond oil would be ideal for them. Almond oil was good enough for my violin so it's good enough for me! Used almond oil on the wood to keep it from drying out.
