Introduction: Dairy-free Hot Cocoa
I used to be a cow milk lover! Every time I had the chance I would prepare a delicious cup of hot cocoa. When I decided to eliminate cow milk from my diet it was very hard to stop drinking my hot cocoa in rainy days or when I simply needed to feel the sweet and warm taste of it.
Fortunately, there is a GREAT alternative to hot cocoa using coconut milk and the result is delicious and creamy. Enjoy!
Step 1: Ingredients
- 250 ml Coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 2gr stevia sweetener
Step 2: Mix Milk, Cocoa and Sweetener
Add half of the coconut milk in a mug. Add cocoa and sweetener. Mix well.
Step 3: Warm Up Milk
Warm up in the microwave for around 1 minute and 40 seconds. Mix. Hot milk helps cocoa to get incorporated with the rest of the ingredients.
Step 4: Add Cold Milk
Add cold milk into the mug. If needed, put back in the microwave.
Step 5: Serve With Marshmallows and Mint Candy
Serve hot with marshmallows and candy. Simply delicious!
