Introduction: Delicious Vegetable Omelette

About: Hey, I'm Muhaimina! A Craftaholic person (or Witch if you may say!). Obsessed with swirls and polka dots... and Instructables is pretty much my second home! Follow my IG Blog https://www.instagram.com/the_craf…

This is one of my favorite omelette recipes and I couldn't believe that I haven't shared the recipe in instructables!

My little sister, she hates vegetables unless they're on a pizza or an omelette. So, we usually prepare vegetable omelette for her.

Anyways, it takes only 15 minutes to prepare this delicious vegetable omelette.. so gather all the ingredients and make one :)

Step 1: Ingredients

To make vegetable omelette you will need:

  1. Egg - 1 or 2,
  2. Salt - for taste,
  3. Tomato - 1, medium,
  4. Carrot - 1. small,
  5. Purple onion - 1 medium,
  6. Green chili - 2, small,
  7. Cauliflower-1 small floret,
  8. Cabbage - chop a small piece,
  9. Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp, chopped,
  10. Green peas - 1 tbsp.
  11. Oil - to fry.

You can add more vegetable if you like to.

Step 2: Preparing the Vegetables

Wash the vegetables.

Chop tomato into small dices,

Cut carrots and onions into small slices,

Chop green chilies and coriander leaves into small pieces.

Step 3: Boiling Vegetables

You will need to boil cauliflower, cabbage and green peas before preparing the omelette.

Cut cabbage into small slices. Don't chop the cauliflower floret.

Take a pot and add 2 cups of water in it,

Add green peas, sliced cabbage and cauliflower floret in the pot,

Boil vegetables in medium flame for 10 minutes.

After boiling them, cut the cauliflower floret into small pieces.

Step 4: Preparing Veggie and Egg Mixture

Take a bowl and add the chopped vegetables in it,

Add a tsp of salt and then egg (1 or 2, as you wish),

Mix them really well.

Step 5: Frying Vegetable Omellete

Take a frying pan and add a small amount of oil in it,

Put the frying pan into medium flame,

Add the vegetable-egg mixture and fry until it's light brown n the other side,

With the help of a flat spoon turn the omelette around before taking it off from the pan,

Place the omelette on a piece of napkin to soak oil.

Done! It looks great (I love the colors of the vegetables in it) and tastes delicious. Give it a try, you'll love it.

Enjoy!

This also works if you grill it in the oven 250C for 15mins. :)

Adding vegetables to omelette made it more interesting, tasty and healthy .... sure this qualifies a 'superfood' stamp :D

So is this omelette deep fried or is that your idea of "small amount of oil"?

No, this omelette isn't deep fried. You'll need just a small knob of butter or a drizzle of oil to fry the omelette.
