Step 1: Get a Piece of Wood
You need a piece of wood for this project. It can be any size you want but also needs to be at least 1/4 in. thick depending on the size of nails you use. We painted ours white first but you can paint yours any color or just leave it like it is.
Step 2: Sketch Your Design
Roughly sketch the design or picture you plan to make on your piece of wood. Sketch lightly in pencil so your design can be changed later.
Step 3: Hammer in Your Design With Nails
Now for the fun part! Outline your design with nails using a hammer. Space the nails about 1/2 in. apart or however you want it. Just remember to pound the nails in really hard so they won't fall out.
Step 4: Add String
Connect the dots of your design by weaving string around all the nails. Use different colors and as much string as possible to make your design even cooler.
