Step 1: Materials
1. Plastic water or pop bottle.
2. Power drill
3. Quarter inch bit
4. Aerosol deodorant or hairspray with butane or propane
5. Barbeque lighter
Step 2: Rocket Nozzle
Take the cap off the bottle and drill a quarter inch hole in the center. This will provide the exhaust flow passage for the rocket.
Step 3: Ignition
Spray a small amount of deodorant into the bottle and screw the cap on. Shake it up to mix the fuel with the oxygen in the air. Hold a lit barbeque lighter next to the nozzle to ignite the fuel and watch the rocket take off.
Step 4: Caution
Don't do this indoors or around people. Don't point the rocket at animals or anything that will break. Don't put anything flammable near the nozzle including your hands.
