Introduction: Diy 5 Minute Earrings

Hi!
For this instructable, I will show you how I make great earrings with just a few supplies and within a few minutes:)
You can make so many different looks by changing the lengths, metal variations/, adding to the amount used, alternating choice of metals (ie; gold& silver) or the style of chain used. The possibilities are endless! These are also a good way to use up any left over scraps of chain from other projects.

Supplies

  • Earring hooks (2)
  • Jump Rings (2)
  • Chain of your choice (I'm using gold for these today see pic)
  • Pliers (2)
  • Wire Cutters/snips (1)
  • Ruler/tape measure (1)

Step 1: STEP 1: Measure Your Chain:)

So the first thing to do is measure and cut all the chain needed for the project,

we will need 5 pcs for each earring,

measure and cut the following amount lengths:

  • 1.5 inch (x4)
  • 2 inch (x4)
  • 3 inch (×2)

Step 2: Add the Chain Onto the Jump Ring

Next, take the open jump ring and add the pieces of chain in the following order:

  • 1.5 inch
  • 2 inch
  • 3 inch
  • 2 inch
  • 1.5 inch

Step 3: Add the Earhook & Close the Jump Ring:)

So the final step is to add the earring hook and close the jump ring,

Using the 2 pairs of pliers, grab the ring on both ends and pull them toward eachother to close the

jump ring and complete the earring.

Step 4: Finishing Up

So that’s it! We are done, now you can look at your work, and correct anything that needs correcting. If you have a chain that’s a little longer you can trim it, make sure that your jump ring is closed completely, and admire your work:)

Step 5: Additional

I have added a pic of some of variations that I spoke about in the intro. I hope you have as much fun creating these earrings as I do. Maybe try adding some charms or beads to them:) Please feel free to upload your creations, I would love to see what you come up with ♡ Thank you for your time;)
