That said - I am wondering what the screens are for ? are they grill screens hanging on the back of the post ? what do they do ? what is the black tape for ? won't that fall off after awhile ? - does it keep some of the wires insulated from each other ?? could you give us more detail ?

the screens are grill plates and thy are used for reflectors
the tape is something I added to keep the insulated wire from getting in front of the v,s wire
the 16-19 guage wire is already insulated
and u can use a antenna but the stopped doing analog to get a TV antenna to work you have to have a digital converter box or a 2010/and up TV
    does that awnser your questions?

Thanks for the instructable - I appreciate your work on this and I am sure many other appreciate it too - it's good to know that you can get channels for free even though it seems that the cable companies have tried to trick us into thinking that we need them for everything -

I remember when Digital TV first came out ! The only thing I heard ( from watching cable TV of course ) was that the old antennas would no longer work and you NEEDED to get cable or be left 'in the dust' -

I like that you gave us this tutorial to show how to take back some independence and keep things real & simple - thanks

Wait, in which step do you jab your finger and put on a bandage? You can't leave out instructions like that.
