Duct Tape Bow Tie

In this Instructable, you will learn how to create a bow tie out of Duct Tape. The materials are relatively cheap and the bow tie is easy to assemble.

Step 1: Get Duct Tape!

Duct tape comes in many different colors and designs, so don't feel pressured to use just one kind!

Step 2: Making the Fabric

Make a Duck Tape fabric that is about 2 strips wide and 5 in. wide.

(A Duct Tape fabric is made by putting the sticky sides of two strips together.)

Step 3: Making the Bow

Fold your fabric into an accordion shape. Pinch and secure the middle with a strip of tape.

Step 4: Making the Tie

Make a thin double strip tape.

Step 5: Attaching the Bow and Tie

Attach your strip to the back of your bow from step 3.

Step 6: Making and Attatching the Fastener

Add a piece of hook and loop fastener (Usually found at your local hardware store) to the end of your strip.

Step 7: Wear It!

Envy your friends with your new and modernized Duct Tape bow tie.

All the photographs except the one showing different colored duct tapes, are same as in this article. Did you write both ?

That turned out looking really good! Have you noticed any sticky of the duct tape getting on your shirt?
