Step 1: Making the Rose's First Petal and Making Rose Buds

Tape a piece of duct tape(3 cms) and fold it into a shape similar to this leaving some sticky part on the bottom.

Then roll it onto a straw.

If you want a rose bud then leave it at this stage and you have a rose bud,but if you want to make a rose then follow the steps.

Step 2: Finishing the Rose

Keep adding more petals to your rose until you like the size of your rose

Then when the rose is complete tape the whole stem with green duct tape.

Step 3: Finishing the Project

Make more roses of different colors and place them in a vase
I made a paper origami vase as you can see in the picture
If you want an instructable on the vase then ask for the instructable in the comments section

And when you are done you can write Happy birthday" " or whatever the occasion is, on the vase and give it to your parents or friends.

How do you make the vase

When you make the roses do you make sure that the pedals all start at the same spot on the straw? Because I have tried that and it created almost a hole at the bottom of all the pedals...and i have no idea how to make it "blossom" like yours is.

No, slowly as you finish adding petals all around on the straw, then you need to move up a little and attach petals all around and then go up a little more and so on!

Quite possibly I might make this out of fruit roll ups. Unsure yet though.

Well, they are sort of like fruit snacks, only they are a sheet.
