Step 1: Materials:
2 pieces of bread
2-3 squares of craft (or preferred) cheese
Step 2: Step 1: Turnin' Up the Heat
Plug in your skillet and turn the temp up to about 350 degrees farenheit.
Step 3: Step 2: Butter the Bread
Butter one side of both pieces of bread.
Place one piece butter-side down on the skillet.
Step 4: Step 3: Cheese Time
Place one square of cheese directly in the center of the piece of bread on the skillet.
Then, tear up the other square of cheese into 4 strips.
Place them on the outer edges of the piece of bread.
For a cheesier grilled cheese, use one more square of cheese and tear 4 more strips.
Make a star in the center of the bread on top of all the other cheese.
Step 5: Step 4: the Flip
After situating the cheese for maximum flavor, place the other buttered piece of bread butter-side up on top.
While you were preparing the cheese, the first side was melting. Make your first flip by sliding the spatuala underneath your sandwich and flipping it over.
A sizzling should sound as the butter melts. Flip your grilled cheese about every 30 seconds.
By flipping often you can precisely get your grilled cheese to the perfect golden brown or a little more burnt depending on taste.
Step 6: Step 6: Happiness
Once you achieve desired color, remove your sandwich to an awaiting plate.
Let cool about 2 minutes. Caution: Although the outside may feel cool, the inside is molten delicious so be careful on that first bite
Unplug the skillet and sit down to now enjoy your perfect grilled cheese!
