The objective of our project is to design a 3D printed support device that allows the client to successfully tie a standard trash bag with only the use of their unaffected hand. Our project's functions include being able to secure the device to various household objects and holding one of the trash bag's strings in place.
Step 1: Finding a Sturdy Place
The most important part in making sure this device is successful is making sure you have a place sturdy enough that will hold the device without falling.
Step 2: Placing the Device and Starting to Tie
Once you have placed the device on a sturdy surface, place one of the strings on the hook to start the tying process.
Step 3: Wrapping the Loose the String
Once the you placed one of the strings on the hook, take the other string and wrap it around the string hanging on the hook and pull it through the hole you created by wrapping the string around the one on the hook.
Step 4: Secure the Knot
After creating the hole, pull the string through and make the knot tight.
Step 5: Tighten the Knot
If you want to make the knot tighter, repeat the process until the knot is as tight as you want it to be.
