Every been sitting around a lake without a pole, staring at those little fish who are mocking you with their freedom and safety?
Now, you will never have that position again with this Instructable. You will be able to build a fish trap with nothing but:
Tin Snips (or scissors, but tin snips make it SO much easier)
Scissors (okay, you'll need these anyway)
Duct Tape (God bless duct tape)
2-Liter Soda Bottle (preferably Coke, I'm from Georgia and it helps the economy)

Step 1: Top-ectomy
Right above the label, start cutting with your scissors.
If you have tin snips, you can make a crease and cut that to start it.
From there, continue to cut all the way around until the bottle has been completely decapitated.
Step 2: Remove Twisty Cap Watchamacallit
Take the tin snips (or scissors) and start to make a cut down the side of the top screw thing.
After that, make another cut an inch apart that is parallel to the first cut.
After cutting the tap left over between the cuts, take the tin snips/scissors and cut around the screwy thing until it comes off.
Step 3: Slice (and Possibly Dice) the Remaining Top
Okay, now you've got an ovally thing and something that kinda resembles a soda bottle left over and you need to turn it into a fish trap.
First, take the scissors and cut from THE SMALL HOLE to the BIG HOLE. IF U DO IT THE OTHER WAY AROUND, YOU WILL BE SCREWED.
Don't cut all the way, but leave about an inch and a half leeway from the strip and the other side.
Continue to cut the strips all the way around.
When you're done, flip it around and shove it into the the space left in the bottom half of the bottle.
Duct tape the edges together, but be careful not to tape the floppy strips together.
Step 4: Tie the Line
When you're done, make two holes with a nail into the side of your bottle trap.
With some fishing line, thread it through one hole and back out the other, tying the one coming out to the one that went in.
with the slack that you have left, you can dip the bottle in and pull it back out.
Step 5: Fish (duh)
All you gotta do is drop bait though the strips and dip the trap into the lake, stream, ocean, ect.
