Are you looking forward to a long, hot summer with the kids at home?
Science experiments are a fun way to fill some time. Especially those that can be created outside with water!
This easy DIY lava lamp project is basic enough for kids to make on their own, or get some older children to help the little ones. Set them up outside with everything they need and let them at it!
Step 1: Materials
- 1 empty water bottle
- Food Colouring
Fill the bottle 3/4 full with oil
Fill it the rest of the way with water
Add a few drops of food colouring of the colour of your choice
Make sure the lid is on tight and shake the bottle to mix the dye with the oil and water.
Watch the bubbles separate as they float to the bottom again.
