Electronic Notice Board Using Arduino in 4 STEPS

Hai Friends, i am Anto. In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to make an Electronic Notice board.

This project can be updated using the dotmatrix LED display on the future projects. But now i am going to receive sms from the user and display the SMS in the LCD display.

Supplies:

I strongly suggest you to buy components from UTSource.net. Because in my experience, they provide quality products and on time delivery with affordable cost. Enjoy as i Enjoyed.

Arduino 1 x 1

GSM Module (SIM800) 1 x 1 (you can use any type)

LCD (16x2) 1 x 1

LCD breakout board 1 x 1

jumpers few numbers

Step 1: Connect the Hardware As Per the Circuit

connect TX of the arduino board to the RX of the GSM Module and RX of the arduino board to the TX of the GSM Module.

connect the D8, D9, D10, D11, D12, D13 of the arduino board to the RS,EN, D4,D5,D6,D7 of the LCD

Step 2: Check the Network Status on the GSM Module With Blinking Led Indication

place the SIM module inside the GSM module and switch ON the hardware. you can see the network status led blinking slowly. if not, change the sim.

Note: use the minimum of 1Amps current for the GSM Module. else you cannot get proper network.

Step 3: Download the Code on the Arduino

Download the arduino code. dont make any modification on the code.

Step 4: Send the SMS to the Sim in the Given Format

Send sms as #MESSAGE* to the sim module placed on the gsm modem.

Now you can see the Message scrolled on the LCD..

Enjoy with the display..
