Step 1: Cut the Fabric

Cut the material to form a rectangle 26cm (10in) hight and 17cm (6.5in) large.

This should fit an adult. Size accordingly to your face.

The more layers the better the filtration. However some fabrics might require more efforts to breathe.

2 to 3 layers is a good start.

Fold again in half.

Step 4: Fold the Right Side

Fold the left side so the folded piece fits within the clip.

Step 6: Assemble the Mask

1- Open a clip and place a rubber at the extremities, so it does not get pinched in the central groves.

2- Place the folded cloth over the rubber band and clip.

3- Close the the clip.

4- Repeat for the other side.

5- Open the pleats, place the mask on your face and the rubber bands over your ears.
