Step 1: Cutting the Bamboo

Cut (with a saw) the bamboo sticks below the knuckles to create natural cups.

Step 2: Engraving the Cups

Place the bamboo cup into the rotary attachment for the laser. Measure the diameter of the cup and place it in the JobControl Vision option under "diameter". We've used an 80w Speedy 300 laser engraving machine with a power of 100 and speed of 80.

Step 3: Coloured Engraving

To add colour to your Tiki cups, you can add a painter's extra-wide masking tape around the cup. Engrave the cup with the same settings.

Step 4: Spray Painting

We then spray paint the cups with a colour of our choice. Let it dry and then taking the masking off leaving the painted engraving.

Step 5: Cutting and Engraving the Acrylic Swizzle Sticks

We take our TroGlass Colour Gloss, fluorescent orange acrylic, and engrave our swizzle stick shapes using 75 power and 100 speed. We then cut the sticks using 100 power and 1.2 speed.
