Everyday Essentials Organiser! EDC

In this instructable I will explain how to build this organiser for all your everyday carry stuff.

This is also an entry for the organization contest, feel free to vote if you like the project!

This organiser has room for three sets of a watch, bracelet and ring. One business set, one spare time set in brown and one spare time set in black.

Furthermore this has room for my wallet, knife, keys, bike keys, passport, vaccine booklet and some receipts.

However you are free to fill it up however you want!

Step 1: Stuff You Need

Dor this project you will need the following tools:

• (table) Saw
• Sand paper
• Drill
• Drill bit 5,5 or 5 mm
• Drill bit 17 mm (this depends on your ring size!)

Materials:

• Wood board 18 mm thick (I used redwood or pinewood)
• Roundwood diameter 17,5 mm (depends on your ringsize!)
• Roundwood diameter 45 mm
• 13 screws M6 x 30 mm
• 1 Hex head screw M6 x 50 mm (optional)

Step 2: Saw Your Wood!

You will need to saw wood board into the following pieces:

1. Bottom part (390 x 160 mm)

2. Back part (372 x 135 mm)

3. Right part (70 x 160 mm)

4. Middle part (70 x 372 mm)

5. Front part (70 x 80 mm)

Furthermore you will need to saw the round wood to the following sizes:

1. Big round wood Ø 45 mm into 3 pieces of each 60 mm long
2. Small round wood Ø 17,5 mm into 3 pieces of each 38 mm long

Step 3: Drill Your Holes

For the hole drilling you can find the blueprints above.

Feel free to ask any questions you might have!

The big roundwood needs to be drilled in the centre on the bottom side with the small drill. For this there are no blueprints attached.

Step 4: Sanding

Sand all the saw edges for smooth sides.

Sand the roundwood top sides to a small chamfer (see pictures)

optional is to side the top sides of the boards also for small chamfers (see pictures)

Step 5: Assemble the Organiser

I dont have a lot of good pictures for assembly but if you did all the above steps then everything should be pretty self explaning.

The small roundwood sticks need to be pushed into the big holes. This may need some force. If it doesnt fit the sand the hole a bit.

The hole for the hex bolt is not in the blueprints. This is an optional part.

Step 6: Fill It Up!
