Eyelet Repair W/ Sugru for Cleats

There's nothing worse than getting a new pair of cleats only to have them stepped on and an eyelet ruined in only the second game you wear them. Sugru is a great solution to repair your eyelets and keep that snug fit on the field. Sugru comes in a variety of colors so you can always find a good match.

This was completed at the Hoboken Makerbar as part of the Sugru Build Night.

Step 1: Step 1

Clean and prep the area.

Step 2: Step 2

Lay down some Sugru. Make sure it is going through the eyelet to reduce the chance of it being torn again. Mold the Sugru to follow the contour of your cleats.

Step 3: Step 3

Use something the push over the excess Sugru.  Open up the eyelet so that laces can be thread through.

Step 4: Step 4

Let the Sugru set over night and get back on the pitch!
