This is an instructable about how you can make a custom faux wooden frame using 3d printing and hydrodipping.

Step 1: CREATE a FRAME

Use the benefits of 3d printing and create a frame without considering the restrictions of wood and the extra add ons that you may needed if you used wooden sheets.

Step 2: MATERIALS

For this instructable you will need:

1) Wood filament.

2) Hydrodipping wood like sheets.

3) An activator for hydro dipping.

4) A Bucket of water for the dipping.

5) Hairspray for the finishing.

Step 3: 3DPRINT THE FRAME

Slice and print your model using your preferable WOOD filament. Try various temperatures while printing so that you get darker or lighter layers between the main color.

Step 4: HYDRO DIPPING

Use a wood like film special for HYDRO DIPPING to add wood texture on your frame and make it look more real. You may print one home. When you are done spray the frame with a hairspray to add light glossiness.
