Introduction: Flat Basic Antenna

About: We love instructables. We make and tear up and improve and sometimes destroy. Some of this are instructions for use of our products. Some of this is us sharing ideas we have for how to make awesome things.

This guide will tell you everything you need to know about how to assemble and install your Flat Basic Antenna from FoxSmart.

Step 1: Unwrap and Identify Components

After unwrapping your antenna package, you should find that there is an antenna with an attached coax cable and two pieces of double-sided tape.

Step 2: Mount Antenna

Peel the removable backing off of the double-sided tape. Apply the tape to the antenna, then affix the antenna to your wall or another surface.

Step 3: Connect Antenna to TV

Plug the coax cable into the 'video in' or 'antenna in' port on your TV.

Step 4: Scan for Channels

Once installed, turn your TV on. Go into your TV's 'settings' menu, then select the 'scan for channels' option. It may take several minutes for your TV to scan for all available channels. Once completed, you should have access to local broadcasting stations like CBS, NBC, OETA, etc. Check FCC.gov for a full list of channels available in your area. Now, sit back, relax, and enjoy your brand spankin' new antenna. Have a beer and watch free TV. Got questions about cutting cable? Check out our free cable cutting guide.
