Introduction: Flip-Out Screen Alternative

About: Innovative Projects, Diy's, Life Hacks

About 2 months ago, I purchased a digital camera mainly to shoot videos.

Unfortunately it did not have a flip-out screen.

After shooting a few videos and realising that I was not in a shot, it was time to do something about it.

We will need:

✓ Flash camera bracket

✓ “L” shape bracket

✓ Mirror (tilt)

✓ 2 x nuts and bolts

✓ Drill and some tools

Step 1:

Depending on your mirror, you might need to take off some unnecessary parts.

Then we will drill a hole in mirrors frame.

Step 2:

Then, we'll remove a hot shoe screw and replace it with “L” bracket.

Step 3:

After that, we'll attach the mirror to another end of “L” bracket.

Now, we can attach the camera.

Only thing left is to attach tripod's quick release plate to the bottom of the screw

Simple and cheap solution to annoying problem :)
