Introduction: Focus/Meltdown Essential Oil Rollon

About: I live in Colorado, and love making things from stuff I have around :-D.

This is a roll-on we make in our family for emotional support and focus*! We've seen some pretty dramatic results :-).

All the oils in this tutorial are Young Living Therapeutic Grade; I haven't tried any others so I don't make any claims about whether they would work or not.

Step 1: Ingredients

You will need:

  • 10 drops Lavender
  • 10 drops Vetiver
  • 10 drops Cedarwood
  • 10 drops Sacred Mountain (optional)
  • V-6 or other carrier oil
  • a roll-on bottle

Step 2: Combine the Oils

Remove the roller top from the roll-on bottle. This Soligt oil key is handy for removing it easily, but if you don't have one, you can carefully insert a butter knife between the bottle and the top, and move it all the way around, wiggling it slightly, until the top comes off.

Then add 10 drops of each essential oil to the bottle, making sure to support the bottle so it doesn't fall over. The vetiver is a thicker oil, so it will take longer to come out. Fill the rest of the bottle with carrier oil (such as V-6, almond oil, etc).

Put the roller top and the cap back on, and roll the bottle between your hands to mix all the oils together.

Step 3: Enjoy!

The completed roll-on has a nice woodsy aroma, and is great for improving focus and helping balance emotions! We like to apply it to the back of the neck. When, for example, my little sister is in a bad mood, this helps cheer her right up (apparently until she's too cheerful to be in focus in a picture XD)!
