Introduction: Fresh Tomato Bruschetta

Materials

  • chef's knife
  • cutting board
  • bowl
  • spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 tomatoes (optional)
  • 1 clove of garlic (or more if you like)
  • pinch of basil or oregano
  • salt, pepper
  • 2 spoonfuls of olive oil
  • stale or toasted bread

Step 1: ​Rinse Tomatoes Under Water to Wash Away Any Dirt.

It's a good idea to rinse all produce you prepare.

Step 2: Dice Tomatoes Into Small Chunks.

It's common to remove the part near the stem of the tomato because of its toughness.

Step 3: Move Tomatoes Into Bowl

Step 4: Remove a Clove From the Head of Garlic

Step 5: Crush Garlic Clove With Side of Knife and Discard Skin

Step 6: Crush Skinned Garlic Clove With Side of Knife to Release Flavors and Chop to a Fine Dice

Step 7: Add Garlic, Herbs, Salt, Pepper, and Oil Into Bowl

Step 8: Gently Stir With Spoon to Keep Tomato Chunks Intact

Step 9: Spoon Onto Bread If Included Tomatoes, Otherwise Dip Bread Into Mixture
