I was inspired to make these friendship bracelets by 1Dbesto's instructable ( https://www.instructables.com/id/Friendship-Bracelet-2/ ) as well as a book I found on how to make bracelets.

Step 1: The Plait Bracelet
This is one of the easiest bracelets to make. You will need 3 different coloured strings. Tie them together about 4-5cm (2 inches) from the top. Separate them out as shown in the picture. Take the string on the right and bring it over so it's in the middle. Now take the string on the left and bring it over so it's in the middle. Do the same with the string that's now on the right. Repeat until you are 4-5 cm (2 inches) from the end. Tie it off here. If you want to add beads, slide them onto one colour at regular intervals. After you've slid it on, just continue plaiting it.
Step 2: The Knotted Bracelet
To make the knotted bracelet, you will need 4 pieces of wool/ string about 70cm (27 inches) long, 2 of one colour and 2 of another. Tie the pieces of string together in a knot 4-5 cm (2 inches) from the top. Separate the strings into the colours as shown in the picture. Take one colour and tie a know around the other. Pull it tight. Now take the other colour and tie it in a knot around the first colour. Pull it tight. Repeat by tying knots of alternate colours until you're 4-5 cm (2 inches) from the end. Tie it off here.
