Introduction: From Toy Cars to "Cars" Toys!

About: there's not much to say, i'm here because i love crafts and recycled stuff. i did several stuff for my homeplace and i thought it could be interesting to share my ideas.

my 4 years old son likes Pixar's "Cars" a lot

for free, he can now have a load of brand new characters to play with Lightning McQueen and Matter!

Step 1: 3...2...1... GO!

what you need :
-an empty sheet of stickers, preferably white, or any printable sticker paper will do the trick.
-a cutter
-a marker (or several, depending the colors you want)
-any toy car your child is ok to transform

cut a piece of sticker paper, a bit larger than the windshield's size. paste the paper on the said windshield and with a fingernail or anything not sharp, try to make it really fit the surface (and the possibly existant wipers).

then you cut out the excess paper with a cutter (preferably sharper than the one i used XD)

Step 2: Finishing

here comes the delicate part.

take a thin marker or any felt-tip pens with the colors of your choice, and start to draw the contour around the windshield. then draw the eyelids, i started with the bottom one and then i made the top one. fill up those eyelids with the color of your choice.

last step : draw the pupils.

take your time because you only have one attempt! it's a very small surface, and if you fail, you'll have to remove the sticker and start again.

you may find helpful to practice a bit on paper before to start on the sticker, to be able to draw the mood you want : neutral, angry, sad...

if the shape allows it, you can also add a mouth on your toy car, i mean your new "Cars" toy! :)
some other vehicles like planes, helicopters or else can probably be "pixarized", it's all up to you (and your children).
