Frozen Banana Bites - 5 Ways!

I got this idea when I was randomly craving a banana and I noticed the toasted sesame seeds left out on the counter, so I dipped my banana in them and ate it. Yum. Then I remembered how my grandma used to freeze banana slices to save them for smoothies, and how my uncle would steal the frozen slices as a cool treat. So I decided to experiment. :) I made these for a 4th of July treat. These frozen banana bites were delicious and were eaten up in minutes! Everyone had a different favourite.

1 - Sesame Seeds

2 - Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites

3 - Vegan Chocolate Dipped

4 - Cinnamon-Sugar

5 - Sprinkles!

Step 1: SESAME SEEDS

-Banana
-Toasted Sesame Seeds (I toasted the sesame seeds in butter on a frying pan for a few minutes)
-Toothpicks

Slice a banana. Snap a few toothpicks in half. Dip both sides of the banana slices in the sesame seeds and place on a tray. Insert a toothpick half into each slice. Freeze for at least 1 hour. Longer is better.

Step 2: Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites

-Banana
-Peanut Butter
-A handful of chocolate chips, or chocolate bar squares
-Toothpicks

Slice a banana. Snap a few toothpicks in half. Spread a dab of peanut butter onto each banana slice. Melt a handful of chocolate chips (In the microwave for 10 seconds or with a small spoonful of boiling hot water). Spoon a blob of melted chocolate on top of each peanut butter banana slice. Place on a tray. Insert a toothpick half into each slice. Freeze for at least 2 hours. Longer is better.

Step 3: Vegan Chocolate Dipped -

-Banana
-Agave syrup (or honey if you're not vegan, but you just want something a little healthier)
-Coconut Oil
-Cocoa Powder
-Toothpicks

Slice a banana. Snap a few toothpicks in half. Insert a toothpick half into each slice. Put 2 spoonfuls of coconut oil and then 2 spoonfuls of honey into a microwave safe cup. Microwave for 10 seconds. Mix. Add 3 spoonfuls of cocoa powder and stir. Dip each banana slice in the chocolate and place on a tray. Freeze for at least 2 hours. Longer is better.

Step 4: Cinnamon-Sugar

-Banana
-Cinnamon
-Sugar
-Toothpicks

Slice a banana. Snap a few toothpicks in half. Place 2 spoonfuls of sugar and 1 spoonful of cinnamon into a bowl or on a plate and mix. Roll the banana slices in the cinnamon-sugar. Place the slices on a tray and insert a toothpick half into each one. Freeze for at least 1 hour. Longer is better.

Step 5: SPRINKLES!

Here's one the kids will love! ;)
