Fruit Salad

About: I am married with two children. Spring, summer, and fall are my very favorite times of the year. I enjoy working in the yard, sewing, cooking, quilting, gardening, and creating. I do this to keep my sanity.

There is nothing better than a fresh salad on a hot summer day.  You can sit outside under a shade tree and eat salad and drink iced tea to cool off.  When I was a child my mother made only one kind of fruit salad.  I love everything in the salad except the mayonnaise!  I would eat the salad but I sure did not think the mayonnaise did it any justice.  When I married and left home I made my own version of fruit salad and I must admit it is delicious!  It has calories though.  One small issue.  But delightful none the less.
Here is my recipe!

Thank you! It is my favorite. My mom used to make fruit salad with Miracle whip. I liked everything except that. I make mine better as I add pecans and whip cream. Thanks for commenting!

This looks and sounds delicious! I'm going to try it. Did your mom ever try the fruit salad your way? I don't think I'd like the mayo or salad dressing in it either!
